BBQ Sauce

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings 1 Bottle

  • 300 ml Tomato ketchup
  • 340 g Dark brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Molasses
  • 60 ml Pineapple juice
  • 60 ml Water
  • 1 tsp Cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp Mustard powder
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Chilli powder
  • ½ tsp Ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne pepper

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients.

  2. Let cook for 4-5 minutes, or until thickened to desired consistency.

  3. (Keep in mind the sauce will continue to thicken as it cools — if it thickens too much, thin with a little water or more pineapple juice).

  4. Taste and adjust the level of heat if necessary.

  5. Let cool, then store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to a couple of weeks.
